Gabriel Machemer
Starting with the opening of the exhibition Gabriel Machemer will run a fictional portrait studio for six weeks next to the Markt-kirche, in the centre of Halle. The starting point for his work are the student portraits from the 18th-century records of the orphanage published in 1998 as »The Album of Orphans« in the Francke Foundations 1695 – 1749.
