Esther Ernst has explored the four lost architectural models from the orphanage´s Cabinet of Wonders in a series of drawings made over a period of several months. After extensive research and reading she created two friezes with motifs referring to the ten plagues described in the Bible as well as four reconstruction drawings of the missing models. These are now available to exhibition goers and researchers as starting points for further exploration. In the workbook the results of Ernst’s work are accompanied by the lyrics of Metallica’s song »Creeping Death«, 1983.
